From the age of thirteen when I poured my first plaster mold, I knew that working in castable materials would be a life's love.
In the intervening fifty+ years I have worked with gold, silver, porcelain, resin, elastomers and my first love; plaster.
I have learned that each material has its special advantages and problems. I have also seen many people attempt to learn my field by trial and error. Some have done exceedingly well, but most have wasted both time and the price of materials in an attempt " to save the cost of hiring a professional".
Over the last four decades I have worked in the Arts and Industry and have had the pleasure of assisting at the birth of some great art and great technology.
I still love sculpting, making models and molds but I especially love teaching this interesting craft to others.
